VANRAY, aka Pete Long, from West Yorkshire, is a solo artist performing original material and cover versions at venues across the UK and beyond. After playing in fanzine favourites Moonpump during the nineties, the singer/songwriter phase began to blossom. Releasing nine CDs, as well as online albums, Vanray has been prolific in terms of penning tunes, with many of the tracks featuring on radio stations around the world. A typical live set features many cover versions, including songs by Soft Cell, Bob Marley, Pixies, Rag N Bone Man, James, Neil Young, John Martyn, The Cure, Blondie, Nirvana, Green Day, AC/DC, TLC, and many more.. With the new album, HOW FAR EIFFEL, out now, plenty of worldwide airplay, and a string of live performances, now is the time to catch the sonic experience of Vanray.

Miles Matrix

Annihilator is probably my most un-synthwav-y song to date, all the while being full on retrowave, being inspired as much by 80s Charles Bronson revenge movies as by Science Fiction / Cyberpunk films of the decade.
